“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love.”

(John 15:10)

In this week’s sermon, Keeping the Remain Thing the Main Thing I taught on Jesus’ command for his followers to “abide in him.”

One of the best ways we can abide in Jesus is to order our lives in such a way that we are continually reminding ourselves of the life, teachings, death, resurrection, and return of Jesus. This includes Scripture, prayer, devotional reading, and other spiritual practices or disciplines.

Many of you have emailed me this week asking about some of the apps I mentioned that help guide me in my spiritual practices. Here are a few that I have really been enjoying lately!

Pray As You Go

I use this app on my walk to the office everyday. The app offers a new guided prayer each day. The narrators read a portion of Scripture then provide questions that guide you to reflect and pray.

Available for Apple and Android.

Reimagining the Examen

I use this app at the end of the day just before bedtime. It is a quick guided prayer that helps me to reflect back on my day and consider the ways God was with me and how I responded.

Available for Apple and Android

Streetlights

If you’re looking for a way to redeem your commute, Streetlights Audio Bible is what you’ve been looking for. This app provides dramatic audio readings of the entire Bible.

Available for Apple and Android.

I hope these resources are helpful to you as you seek to abide in Christ throughout your week!

Grace and peace,

Pastor Will
